Paul Undreiner, a native of Long Island, NY, has been active in the Northeast as a performer, composer and educator for many years. As a performer, his repertoire is quite extensive, ranging from jazz to classical, opera to chamber music, from the recital stage to the organ loft. Paul has also composed numerous pieces for a variety of genres including works for piano, orchestra, choir, wind band, and chamber ensembles. His two largest works to date are a two-act ballet entitled A Jazzy Nutcracker, which was a commission from the Lustig Dance Theater, and an opera entitled Resurrection, which was premiered in June of 2017. Paul holds the position of Music Director at the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, NJ and is a member of the American Guild of Organists. He also teaches private composition and piano lessons. Paul possesses a Bachelors Degree from Hartwick College, where he majored in Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance, a Masters Degree from The Hartt School, with a double major in Music Theory and Composition, and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University in Music Theory and Composition. He lives in northern New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
